Crown thinning is the removal of deadwood and live secondary branches to produce a uniform density throughout the foliage of the tree that does not alter the size or form of the tree.
This will allow more light to penetrate through the tree and reduce the amount of debris from the tree without altering the overall form, size or aesthetics of the tree you love.

Crown lifting involves removing selected branches from the lowest part of the tree canopy, usually to a uniform height providing more light beneath them, clearance for pedestrians, vehicles and buildings.
Crown lifting will improve the light beneath the tree, allow access beneath and 'open your property up' by lifting the trees canopy out of your direct vision.

Crown reduction of the overall tree canopy at the right time will reduce the overall height and size of the tree without affecting its aesthetics, and will maintain the trees basic form. This option will allow views to be retained and unable you to keep a desired large tree within a small property.
